ANTS Simulation Course
Eight simulation scenarios for CT3 anaesthetists completing Stage 1 of the RCoA 2021 curriculum — oxygen failure, malignant hyperthermia, major haemorrhage, total power failure and more — each followed by a structured debrief using the ANTS (Anaesthetists' Non-Technical Skills) framework.
Clinical Debriefing Course
A course for anyone who runs simulation or supervises trainees: structured models for debriefing (Reactions → Description → Analysis), handling difficult conversations, and giving formative feedback that changes practice.
VR Workshop
Rotating VR and haptic stations for procedural rehearsal and communication scenarios, refined each year with faculty and trainee feedback. A hands-on complement to manikin-based training.
Emergency Medicine Simulation
In-situ resus and trauma-bay scenarios for Emergency Medicine teams, run on our SimMan 3G manikins with real monitoring equipment, in the department itself where possible.
Half-day scenarios for International Medical Graduates joining Barts Health, orientating new doctors to NHS communication and teamworking expectations as part of formal induction.
Simulation sessions for medical students on clinical placement, building core clinical and communication skills before qualification.
